Release notes: Build 4

Okay, this is a big one. Really, really big. Primarily between Fizz, Alban and myself we got fixes in for 72 reported bugs (others also submitted fixes, but us three win mention on sheer volume alone ;). New areas, new custom content. This patch brings us very close to where we need to be to start really treating this as an RP server, and playing normally. Mortius is working on herding the necessary cats in order to get the last of those changes completed. I think we're looking good for this upcoming weekend.

Misc Updates
  • New areas online and populated in king's hill region.
  • To better support people joining multiple PWs, we have split all of our combo haks into their original component parts whenever possible. This means that if two PWs are using the same hak pak, you won't have to download the content twice. I expect that over time, more and more PWs will change to this approach. I'll probably blog more about this in the context of the wider NWN2 MP community fairly soon.
  • For builders, added multiple haks and also organized placeable blueprints in what I hope is a logical fashion. New haks added: The remainder of Nytir's BCK. All missing RWS content. New traps from ArPharazon (well, new to us). And... well, lots of other stuff -- see our Credits page which will be going online shortly - please vote for the work that these talented people have done.
  • Updated multiple haks that had been been improved since we first incorporated them into khali
  • Included heed's PC tools, and modified for Khali. More work to come, but all of the basics are working.
  • Modified kemo's updated sit hak for Khali.
  • Fixed the way that the observation window was stealing focus, making it hard to move the camera with the mouse/keyboard upon first starting.
  • Updates to observation window to show you descriptions of any nearby creatures or placeables, if they have them - this is in addition to any info that builders specifically put in place. This is working pretty well so far, except for a bug in the engine where getting the description of an object doesn't always work...
  • And YES - Julie's Inn now properly sells keys ;)
